Eímear Noone, Irish composer and conductor who worked on the recording of soundtracks for Overwatch, Diablo III, Hearthstone and others, will conduct the Academy Award orchestra at 2020 ceremony, playing 5 nominated scores. She will be the first female conductor to do so.

Additonally, Hildur Guðnadóttir, a recent musical discovery, was nominated for her excellent score for the Joker. It’s the second nomination for a female composer of this century (after Micah Levi’s Jackie). The ceremony will begin on February 10th 2020, 2:00 AM CET.
