Lauded by the critics and millions of fans worldwide, Ori and the Will of the Wisps quickly gained the reputation of being a masterpiece, with special merit given to its unforgettable score by Gareth Coker. Together with Ori and the Blind Forest, both of these universally acclaimed soundtracks formed the musical material of The Symphony of the Spirits, the second concert of Game Music Festival 2022.

Known for commissioning new music, high-quality yet passionate singing, tackling difficult, rarely performed music as well as much-loved and well-known pieces and is one of the UK’s finest symphonic choirs.

Robert Kurdybacha
Conductor
Conductor, composer, arranger and teacher. A conductor in several dozen chamber and symphonic premieres and an original performer with particular emphasis on 20th and 21st century music.

Kristin Naigus
Woodwind virtuoso
A professional oboist from central Florida, where she freelances seasonally with countless symphony orchestras and is a remote session musician for tv and video games.

Gareth Coker
Composer I Producer
British composer and producer working in Los Angeles. He is known for his melodically driven scores, unique soundscapes, and attention to detail and execution in the application of how music emotionally relates and connects to a game's players.

Together with Ori and the Blind Forest, both of these universally acclaimed soundtracks comprise the musical programme of The Symphony of the Spirits, the second concert of Game Music Festival 2022. These arrangements have been created by maestro Robert Kurdybacha, who is no stranger to the music of video games – he has arranged several fan-favourite symphonies for previous editions of the festival. Gareth Coker will also attend this very special occasion at the Royal Festival Hall. The performance by the Philharmonia Orchestra and Hertfordshire Chorus will take the audience on a journey through Ori’s world as never before.
