The Game Music Festival is coming back London – and bigger than ever! Five amazing concerts in two brilliant venues, multiple educational sessions, and many special guests. A fully-fledged festival of this scale dedicated to the soundtracks of video games is a truly unique event.

Five amazing concerts in two brilliant venues

Throughout June 2026, Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall and Fairfield Halls in London will host a celebration of the art of video game music with five live concerts and an educational programme with many special guests. The team behind Game Music Festival specializes in organizing exquisite monographic concerts, focused on presenting a selected game franchise, or a particular composer’s works, in a coherent manner. There are no visualizations during the show, and electronic sound amplification is avoided unless technically necessary. Truly a slow listening experience. Festival schedule:

Game Music Festival 2026 will begin with The Infernal Symphony. Taking place on 06.06.26, this dark concert will showcase the three decades of soundtracks of Diablo, a genre-defining action-RPG franchise. We invite you to stay awhile and listen to a musical pilgrimage through the soundscapes of the Burning Hells and High Heavens. The trinity of maestro Marek Wroniszewski, the London Mozart Players orchestra, and the Hertfordshire Chorus will invoke the iconic sounds of the Diablo games arranged into a monumental opus by Ignacy Wojciechowski. With special guests: Lead Composer Ted Reedy and Music Director Derek Duke, this opening night of GMF 2026 will truly be one to remember. From thunderous battle anthems to haunting choral harmonies – this is the music that has shaped Sanctuary and captivated generations of gamers.

On June 27th, 2026, the Royal Festival Hall will host Ballads of the Underworld – a symphonic concert dedicated to the soundtracks of Supergiant Games’ hit titles, Hades and Hades II. This musical journey will shine a special spotlight on the vocal masterpieces from both games: soulful laments, hymns, and alluring siren songs that have accompanied Zagreus and Melinoë on their perilous expeditions. A pantheon of original vocalists – Darren Korb, Ashley Barrett, and special guests – will join the stage together with the London Mozart Players orchestra led by Grammy-nominated and BAFTA-winning conductor Austin Wintory, to brew a truly bewitching performance.
