Sony isn’t giving us much info about the sequel to Naughty Dog’s post-apocalyptic hit. Some rumours have been heard that the release was postponed from November 2019 to February 2020, it’s been year since we’ve seen some footage and the story’s details remain unknown (but knowing Naughty Dog, it will most likely stay so).

With gentle percussion in the background, typical for Santaolalla.

Gustavo Santaolalla returned to compose the music for Part II. Argentinian guitarist, known for Alejandra Gonzáleza Iñárritu’s films and somber score for the first part of the game, actually shared a piece of music from his upcoming composition.

We’ve heard it, but this one is more official, is mastered better and a bit longer. Curiously, what’s also heard is birds chirping (he used to add sounds to movie scores). It’s the main melody played on banjo, which I think may be the key instrument for Part II, with gentle percussion in the background, typical for Santaolalla. It’s very bleak, as hate is the game’s central theme, and I am sure that meastro will make an amazing album out of it.
