This is fantastic news to everyone in love with Curry’s works. From October 26, BBC Radio 3 will host a four-part series dedicated to exploring the world of video game music. On board is one of the icons of contemporary-classical approach, Jessica Curry, known for Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs and more.

There’ll be music to delight the most ardent fans of games music as well as enticing those who may never have even played a video game.

Entitled ‘Sound Of Gaming’ the project is part of a series ‘Sound Of…’ which covers also cinema and dance. Here is what the British BAFTA-winning composer says about the initiative: „It’s going to be a lovely mix of interviews with game composers, some classic tunes mixed with the up and coming names from the world of video games and a focus on some of the biggest events in the gaming calendar”. The first episode of the programme will air on BBC Radio 3 on October 26, 3 pm – 4 pm.
