„Making-of” materials are always an interesting possibility to peek behind the developers’ curtain. They’re a chance to get to know the game better, for aspiring artists – make some notes, or perhaps just inhale a little bit of inspiration in general. Through courtesy of the Krakow studio Bloober Team and publisher Gun Media we can take a closer look at the audio of the upcoming Layers of Fear 2. The video opens the gate to the world of horror, which evolved from pictures (painting – the leading theme in the first game) into moving pictures (film, which is the second installment’s motif),
The artist behind Kholat and Observer talks, among other things, about musical inspirations of Layers of Fear 2.
The Dev Diary’s ‘talking heads’ are people that know what they are talking about. We are going to hear Bartosz Kaproń (lead designer and producer), Brunon Lubas (sound designer) and Arkadiusz Reikowski (composer) – but he probably needs no introduction. The artist behind Kholat and Observer (and of course the first Layers of Fear game) talks, among other things, about musical inspirations of the upcoming title.
The game, announced at the end of last year’s October, does not have a release date yet. But, judging from the first entries in the Diary, we can assume that the horror is fairly close. Here’s hoping that we’ll be able to listen to Layers of Fear 2 music as soon as possible.
