Old timers have it good. After a Kickstarter campaign made to release an album with Amiga games’ soundtracks and a Chrono Cross remix album, the time has come for Skies of Arcadia. Namely, it’s soundtrack – which will live long enough to see it’s own physical release.

It is uplifting to know that the score has not been forgotten.

Almost 20 years ago came out a jRPG game in which as a group of sky-roaming pirates we cross the plans of one of the civilisations trying to destroy the world. Our endeavors are accompanied by fairytale music composed by Yutaka Minobe and Tatsuyuki Maeda. Almost three hours long soundtrack is proof that Skies of Arcadia, at the time the release, could rival even Final Fantasy series. And so, it is uplifting to know that the score has not been forgotten.

The album will be released by Wayô Records, a label which is also known for Joe Hisaishi’s Ni No Kuni I and II soundtracks. Pre-sales are to start soon, which means our wallets are going to suffer from yet another nostalgia assault.
